Top Ten Things I Am Thankful For Today

Hi, I’m motivational maestro Spyder Darling and here are the top ten things I am thankful for today, “Cat”-urday, December, 21, 2024. So hang out with your fangs out and remember, gratitude is the attitude!

1. Life! Any day above ground is something to be thankful for. After all, if you woke up today, there are a great many who weren’t so lucky, like American singer and songwriter Bobby “Mack The Knife” Darin who breathed his last on a Los Angeles operating table in 1973. Eek!
2. Got to sleep till 8:30 AM, EST (God’s time zone). Two hours later than my usual reveille. After all, the “I’ll sleep when I’m dead” mantra sounds cool. But unfortunately most of the people who live by it are in fact, dead.
3. Paper for the home printer. I don’t use it often. But when I do, it needs what it needs. Which is why it’s important to keep home office supplies on hand and know where they are in the bottomless catch all that’s otherwise known as the nightstand drawer.
4. A working scanner that I know how to work. Again, not often used. And to tell the truth I don’t know how it works. I’m just glad I know which icons to push on my phone of all things to get all 19 pages of Mrs. D’s project portfolio transferred to .pdf status and sent into the cyber-stratus…
